ABOUT Dr. KAREN
Hello! I am Dr Karen.
I’m a general practitioner in private practice in Mauritius. I completed my undergraduate medical training at the University of Cape Town in South Africa in 2008. Thereafter I worked for the South African Military Health Service as a medical officer, gained emergency medicine experience working night-duty for 3 years in a busy ER in Cape Town, before opening my own private family medicine practice.
While working in emergency medicine I realized that most acute and chronic health problems are preventable so I decided to pursue post-graduate specialist training in Lifestyle Medicine. I now work at a multi-disciplinary primary health centre in Mauritius practicing family medicine, lifestyle medicine and aesthetic medicine.
I have a passion for improving well-being and vitality, rather than simply treating medical conditions when they arise.
