What’s HIIT?

High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) is a type of workout where you alternate between short bursts of maximum effort exercise and periods of low-intensity recovery or rest.

During the high-intensity intervals, you push your body to work hard and elevate your heart rate, before giving it a brief rest or a low-intensity recovery period.  This method helps you burn more calories in less time than traditional steady-state cardio, while boosting both your aerobic and anaerobic fitness.

💥 Science behind it:
HIIT boosts your metabolism in a way that traditional cardio doesn’t.  The intensity of the workout creates an “afterburn effect,” where your body continues to burn fat for hours after the workout is done (thanks to an increase in your resting metabolic rate).

🌟 Not only does it save you time, but it also triggers more fat-burning than longer, steady-state workouts.
